Custom made Coasters

Client: Segea Food Distributors (Global Meat Protein Supplier)

Background

The client approached us with a request for a unique promotional gift for their marketing campaign. They wanted high-quality, custom-sized coasters featuring their five product brands. The coasters were to be packed in sets of six, housed in a transparent gift pack.

Challenge

The client emphasized the need for a premium, high-quality, unique promotional item. The coasters needed to be durable and anti-slip. The Packaging had to be transparent and fit the coaster just right. Since there were no compatible boxes on the market, besides coming up with a unique concept for the coasters, we also designed the box.

Solution

After presenting a range of ideas, we settled on a concept that proposed using PVC material for the coasters and, instead of printing the brand logos, involved a layered design approach. Each color and shape of the client’s logos would be an individual PVC layer that would create a texture and more visual interest.

We decided on an anti-slip layer beneath the coasters to meet the client’s need for functionality, and provided digital designs to ensure the client has a clear vision of the final product.

Process

Digital Design & Prototyping: We produced a physical sample for approval upon finalizing the design concept. To ensure brand consistency, we referenced Pantone colors in the prototype images to verify that the final product was aligned with the client’s branding.

Packaging Customization: With specific requirements for the Packaging, we designed the transparent gift box to fit precisely six coasters, accounting for the total height of the stack.

Results

The coasters exceeded the client’s expectations. They were impressed with the attention to detail in design, color matching, and Packaging, as the promotional item perfectly aligned with their marketing campaign.

By focusing on both design and functionality, we helped a global meat protein supplier create a unique branded gift that positively impacted their stakeholders and enhanced brand recognition.
